House on Beacon Hill

This home is a dream come true for this couple.  The home melds the artwork of one of the owners with the industrial aesthetic of the other, allowing both to flourish.  The home is set into a ravine, providing light and views from all living spaces to the surrounding nature.  The dark gray/blue of the home contrasts with the orange metallic doors of the front entry.  The living, dining and kitchen spaces are housed within one gable wing, providing light all sides, while space also flows out to the adjacent screened porch.  The main floor includes the living spaces and primary suite while the stairs lead to the loft above and the guest bedrooms in the walkout below.  The upper loft includes a secret bookcase to the owner’s hobby room, where he collects and crafts model cars.  Full size collector cars are another hobby, and the four-car garage provides a lift and storage space.
