The new Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital reflects the owner’s desire to create a distinctive yet comfortable state-of-the-art facility for staff, clients, and their pets. With input from the veterinary staff, Angelini & Associates designed a space that functions efficiently as a care center, and fosters a sense of comfort for owners and their animals. The 7,800-square-foot hospital combines the warm aesthetic of a mountain lodge with the workflow critical to accommodating a busy veterinary clinic. Generous use of wood and stone, ample natural lighting, and neighboring park views give the interior spaces an open and calming feel unique to this type of facility.
The Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital received a merit award in the 2007 Veterinary Economics Hospital Design Competition.
