The recipient of LEED Silver certification, the house at Cobblestone employs a traditional architectural vocabulary while still meeting LEED standards. The exterior shell of insulated concrete forms is clad in wood siding and cultured stone, creating a classic look on the outside and warm spaces on the interior. Passive solar design considerations allow for plentiful natural daylight, which in turn highlights the radiant heated tile floors and pickled wood walls and ceiling. Other sustainable features in the home include a geothermal heating system, low VOC finishes, and water-saving plumbing fixtures.
