Martini Kitchen

The original kitchen was set at 45 degrees from the main living space of the home, with an awkward zig-zag layout and a zig-zag island.  A leak from the dishwasher while the clients were in Ireland led to a fortuitous opportunity to demolish the original kitchen and replace the finishes throughout the space.  The Australian Walnut veneer flush doors, quartz countertop, stainless appliances, Beat pendants, and martini pattern glass tile result in a stunning installation.  The new layout resolves the geometry with a simple “L” work area, terminated with a raised bar at the family dining space.  A generous rectangular island provides conversational seating on two sides, so the resident cooks can entertain while cooking.
